6.
I would like to add
more racks and SCs.
Can I add them later?
It’s possible to add more racks and SC units to the row as you
grow. The SC-based systems also have an upgraded firmware
that allows for Group Control between the SC units.
7.
I want to use a portable
air conditioning unit
instead.
The InRow SC unit is designed to handle high sensible heat loads
in IT spaces, unlike most portable units. It also has a smaller
footprint than portable units with comparable capacities.
The InRow SC also has variable speed fans, a network
management card, and a condensate pump –
all standard. These
features are rarely found in portable units.
8.
Will I need to hire a
contractor to install this
unit?
No. The InRow SC unit is designed for simple, plug and play
installation, and in normal circumstances special tools or skills are
not required to properly install the unit.
The unit has a self-contained design, so that means there are no
refrigerant lines and no remote heat exchangers. Provide power,
run the condensate line to a drain, and connect the duct kit to the
ceiling plenum.
The containment SKUs are also simple and easy to assemble.
If desired, APC offers competitively priced Installation Services.
