5.2 Safety Features

To ensure safe use, the device is provided with the following safety features.

The switch detects if the main body is fully pulled toward the operator.

Unless the switch is turned on, the switchover between the R/K measuring unit and NT mea-

suring unit is disabled.

This sensor detects if the patient's chin is placed on the chinrest during the up-and-down

movement of the chinrest.

While the patient is being detected by the sensor, the chinrest is not initialized.

For safety, this stopper provides a safety space so that the air nozzle does not touch a

patient’s eye during measurements.

The amount of space needed for safety depends on the patient. Change the position of the

stopper for each patient to ensure the proper amount of space for safety.
